We discovered The Gingerbread quite by accident on our way to see the Arenal volcano. Being used to the long distances in Canada, we did not realize that we could easily drive to the volcano in one day.  So we booked into a B&B overlooking Lake Arenal and this is what follows.

Gingerbread

Wed. evening, April 29th.

The cicadas started serenading near dusk.  Really unbelievably loud!  Suzie says it is mating season and is not this loud all the time.

About 6:15 pm, we set out, with our flashlights, for the 5 min. walk along the road to The Gingerbread Restaurant.  The cicada orchestra blasted us as we walked.

The Gingerbread was recommended by Suzie and she made our reservations. …
